We had the most wonderful bike trip last weekend with Lorenzo, it really was the highlight of our trip to Rome! We are a family of 5 – to include 2 mid-50s adults and 3 adults in early to mid-20s, so a range of cycling ability from beginner/intermediate to experienced. Lorenzo has the wonderful combination of being relaxed and easy-going and knowing how to gauge his cycling companion’s limits along with a passion for showing Rome at its best – the hidden gems, the little piazzas, the aqueducts and the Roman walls – whatever you want to see, Lorenzo will do his best to show! This is a Roman trip at its best! Strongly recommended – the most magical feeling of both being within the intimate areas of Rome and suddenly being outside the Roman walls and seeing the panoramic Rome, wonderful!

The tour with Lorenzo was the best way to learn about Rome and to see a substantial portion of the city in one day. We have a young family with four children. Lorenzo was very detail oriented in addressing every aspect of the tour, from ensuring that safety and security was the top priority to assisting us customize our bikes before departing so we were most comfortable. Lorenzo was born in the center of Rome and knows the city as if it were his back yard. As noted in other reviews, Lorenzo introduces his guests to vantage points and locations that only a local would know about. He did an outstanding job sharing information that was appropriate for both the children and adults in the group. His relaxed demeanour and approach to the the length of the tour meant that we did not feel rushed. We requested that we stop at some point for gelato at a location that he might recommend as a local. He seamlessly integrated into the end of the tour a stop at small local cafe where we were able to enjoy some of the best gelato we had during our 10-day trip to Italy. This tour was easily the best money and time spent on our holiday. We can recommend Lorenzo without reservation. Thanks to him, we can say that we came, we saw, we conquered Rome!

Just the best way to see Rome

We always felt safe, and it really was a wonderful way of seeing this unique city… read more

We are a family of 5, with 3 boys aged 14, 12, and 9. We requested a private tour, as we weren’t very confident about cycling on the roads. Simone took great care of us so we always felt safe, and it really was a wonderful way of seeing this unique city. There were some hills, but a very easy pace and lots of stops. Simone really shared his love and knowledge of Rome and its history, and even though it was my third time here, I learned so much. The boys loved it too (the youngest did get tired but revived after a pizza stop and kept up really well) and this will be the highlight of our trip here. I would definitely do it again. Totally recommend it!
