Perfect bike tour

The best four hours of our trip to Rome and we will certainly book another tour next time we visit… read more

In Rome for a few days before Christmas, we booked a private tour for the three of us. We knew only that we wanted to see parts of the city ‘off the beaten track’ so left the itinerary to Lorenzo, our guide, and were not disappointed! We went to places we would never have known about otherwise and saw the city from the best vantage points. Lorenzo is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about his city which made it highly informative as well as enjoyable. We would never have considered riding bikes in the centre of Rome on our own but felt safe at all times with him. The best four hours of our trip to Rome and we will certainly book another tour next time we visit!

We had only a couple of days in Rome (celebrated birthday of my dearest friend!) and sooo luckily we chose to go on a bike tour with Simone! The tour took around 4 hours and I would continue all night long:) Riding through the cozy streets knowing that we are in a good hands was pleasant to me. We visited places and heard stories that made the walls get alive! As a wise man told me once- a good guide is the one that will awake your curiosity to read and get to know more about the place. This was exactly the feeling I got at and after the tour! Simone is unique man, he is funny and opinionated person, knows a lot about Rome and sharing it with deep love. He is careful about personal safety and considering for everyone and any request. We got great recommendations to visit places (the night show at the Forum and lots of places to eat in!). This tour was the unforgettable highlight of our visit. Thank you so much Simone, from the deep of our heart.

Do this!!!

Off-the beaten routes made us feel in the know and better equipped for the rest our stay… read more

After an all-day train ride, we needed to move. So, for our first night in Rome we had arranged a private, evening ride. Now, we took three other tours with other companies while in Rome after this, but riding the streets and sites with Lorenzo is a unanimous family favorite. Lorenzo is an architect by day. We had an architect as our guide in the city that inspired architecture world-wide. Think of that! We rode to an area, got our bearings, learned and asked questions, then rode on. He timed our arrival atop one museum hill just as sun set over the city. Breath-taking! Lorenzo gave us the low down on sites, museums, local life, and must go businesses and restaurants. The Coliseum illuminated at night? So lovely! Off-the beaten routes made us feel in the know and better equipped for the rest our stay. His insider tips kept us eating and snacking at delicious local businesses for the duration of our time in Rome. Rome is not a comfortably bikeable city. There are no bike lanes. Drivers there are much more confident than I was. And, unless you know exactly where you’re going, it’s confusing. But, Lorenzo taught us the basics, managed traffic for us, and chose the safest routes. He offered to let us use the bikes the next day…but I would have felt so vulnerable without him! Is this your worth your time and travel money? Yes. Yes times infinity.

We had Simone organise a private tour for our family of two adults and two children aged 7 and 9 years. He tailored a unique ride that allowed us to see some sights and sounds of Rome that we didn’t know existed. Simone had a depth and breadth of knowledge of Rome that was remarkable, but more than that was someone whose company we thoroughly enjoyed for the day. Thank you for a great day.
